Análisis Multivariante Dinámico del Ranking de Sustentabilidad mundial de universidades: Una nueva mirada a la gestión en la educación terciaria

Abstract
Teaching, researching, and campus operations transform universities into proactive leaders in improving and protecting the environment. In this context, UI GreenMetric is one of the main tools to help institutions achieve changes in sustainable development. This research aims to study the distinctive features of universities ranked in the Top-100 of UI GreenMetric, to analyze its trajectory in the last five years, and observe the correlations of the ranking indicators, using the multivariate method. Results show that institutions ranked in the Top-100 are situated in different countries. The ones classified in the top positions are close among them. They are characterized by the variables Education & Research, Waste, and Water. Likewise, the universities experienced changes in their trajectories in 2017, which is similar to the changes produced in the variable Education and Research. UI GreenMetric ranking could help institutions develop their sustainability, considering the environment in which each institution is immersed.
