Résumé
This paper aims at analysing the relationship between motivation and language learning strategy use in foreign language learning by graduate students. Two main objectives of this study are: to determine the kind of motivation (Instrumental/ Integrative) in studying a foreign language and to determine how motivation in studying a foreign language affect the use and choices of language learning strategies. The results reveal that the students with more integrative motivation tend to use more language learning strategies. Learners with integrative motivation tend to use Cognitive, Compensation and Affective strategies.
