Resum

The groups of Colombian self-defences, born in the sixties to face the guerrilla warfare and to defend the citizens and property where the State did not controlled the territory, became into paramilitary groups. With the time that groups linked with Armed Forces and drug-traffickers. Paramilitaries tried to design a political project because it might has a juridical different status, to escape from justice and to negotiate with the government. In this article the internal organization of the fighting blocks is studied, the motives of the political project it is analyzed and, on the basis of the Geneva’s Agreements, is also studied the legitimacy or illegitimacy of turning paramilitaries into a political actor.
