Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the influence of several mycorrhizas together withmineral fertilization on the nutritional state (N, P and K) of barley crop (Hordeum vulgare L.) inan unirrigated semiarid area in the province of Salamanca. Different types and doses of mycorrhizaswere used in combination with four mineral fertilization treatments and without them.Plant samples of the flag leaves at milk stage were considered. The N and K concentrations, butnot that of P, increased significantly with the application of mineral fertilization in combination withmycorrhizas. The effect of mineral fertilization is clear, but the effect of mycorrizhas is not. TheN and K concentrations were positively and significantly correlated each other but their correlationwith P was not significant. Furthermore, N and K contents were positively and significantlycorrelated with the weight of dry matter per plant.
