Resumen

Neurodynamic tests are daily regarded as important in orthopedic physical assesment. Some of these, such as passive straight leg raising (SLR) and the slump tests, are used as an usual procedure for the examination of patients with low back pain (LBP). Therefore, changes in neural tension provoked by these tests over differents nerve trunks in lumbopelvic region may alter the nociceptive responses of nearby tissues. Also many authors share the opinion that gluteal musculature may be considereda source of LBP. The aim of our study was to evidence changes in mechanical nociceptive thresholds (MNTs) of lumbopelvic muscles in different neurodynamic positions.
