Abstract

The research entitled “professional skills for the employment of graduates of the 2007 Plan of the Faculty of Agronomy, of the USAC of Guatemala. diagnosis and proposal for improvement”, bases the changes in current professional skills in the face of technological changes and the pedagogical reality of the current Study Plans, with which the Faculty of Agronomy trains its Agricultural Engineers who start from the 2007 Plan (Barrón y Martinez, 2008). The contributions of this study can be interpolated in professional generic qualities that the professional requires to have an adequate labor insertion that responds to the xpectations of the employers and to be able to compete adequately (Arcega, 2006). The research revolves around the fact that the skills taught in the 2007 Plan are still in force and there are no short-term proposals for their change, which directly affects the level of satisfaction of the graduates, when joining the labor market. This is based on research that uses a sample of graduates to measure, through a five-point Likert scale, the levels of incorporation into the labor market with the professional skills received.
