Resumen

Observe is characterized by their individuality constrained by different particular meanings to subjects at subjectivity inherent to each observer (cf. Sarmento, 2004). In fact, the subjectivity of observation is a unavoidable fact (e.g., Proença, 1982; Sarmento, 1991), being that the effectiveness of any behavior, is determined by the degree of identification between the goal set (i.e., observer) and the result obtained (i.e., performer). Consequently, the effectiveness of evaluation depends on the intrinsic quality and regulation of perceptive observation. Given the above, we intend to address with this work the theoretical contents related to the understanding of observation and how this process can help to improve the teacher evaluation system.
