Zusammenfassung

The study was set with 60 secondary-age students from the southwestern Colombian those who have lived in vulnerable context. Our objective was to verify if the level of motivation of the students towards English class as a foreign language, working with technological resources can be increased. This study used a quasi-experimental design, non-equivalent using Experimental and Control Groups, from measures pre-test and post-test collected by instruments that were already adapted and used in practice by Madrid (1999) and Gardner (2004). The b-Learning environment was introduced in Experimental Group lessons during 4 months, with the web application duolingo to learn English. Meanwhile, the Control Group continued in an ordinary English course. The results obtained showed that the Experiemntal Group mediated by the technological sources increases its motivational components, and internal and external motivational factors. We conclude that the b-Learning methodology and web application as duolingo may be possible elements that increase the motivationof the students towards the English class.
