Abstract

On 24 October 2007, the BOE published by the Law 27/2007 which recognizes the Spanish sign languages and governing the means of oral communication support for deaf, hearing impaired and deafblind. The law is the recognition and regulation of sign language Spanish and Catalan, and ensures that these people can lead a normal life with access to the same places, fields, goods and services that are available to all citizens. The Act provides for the inclusion of bilingual education model of teaching and, therefore, that sign language is the vehicle for deaf students in individual schools. When necessary, has to promote the provision of sign language interpreters and must be facilitated, likewise, a fully accessible to deaf people in different public and private areas.
