Abstract

The philosophy has been leaving the curricula of secondary education and the faculties of education. The history of education and the importance of philosophy in the birth of education are analyzed in a general way, from the Platonic academy, the Aristotelian walks, the Middle Ages and current teacher training. We take a tour of the teaching curricula to understand the reason for the current situation. This situation leads us to conclude the deficient human training in teaching and the usual contempt for philosophical thought. No one appreciates what he does not know.
